About Wirral Older People’s Parliament

We were established in January 2007 with the full support of all Wirral’s elected councillors, who agreed some financial support. We have continued to work closely with the council – particularly adult social services. Our support, signposting and engagement is available to anyone over 50 living in Wirral.

We represent older people at a number of Council strategic meetings. We aim to be the voice of the older person of the Wirral and deal with the issues that affect us all living in this community. We also have close links with Housing Associations in Wirral, the Police and the Fire and Rescue Service.

Although we are not Party political we look after the welfare of all our community no matter what party they may support. Health, safety, security, housing, and financial needs are paramount if we are to enjoy the recreational, educational, volunteering and campaigning opportunities that are available for us all.

We are always keen to hear from older people about issues which are of concern to them.
